About
Manchester based Australian Liam Butler Webb is a pianist following in the tradition of heavy swinging artists such as Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal and Barry Harris.
His music is a blend of hard-hitting bebop and tasteful, soulful blues, yet the sound that he produces out of the piano possesses a delicate, crystal-like gentleness.
Deeply inspired by the beautiful sounds of Brazil, the rich, melancholic harmonies of Tom Jobim shine through Butler Webb’s sensitive interpretations and original compositions.
